Cadets from the Coeur d'Alene Civil Air Patrol present the colors on this anniversary of the tragedy of September 11th, 2001. These impressive young men reminded me of images I have seen of this same area some 70 years ago when boys of pretty much the same age were training for their service in WWII when this was Farragut, Idaho, a Navy training base.

Then the shootin started. I love that sound, especially echoing off the nearby hills!
