North Idaho College Women Saturday was the second time I have seen the NIC women play basketball. For the first scrimmage, I took my assistant, Jenna, to see if she can help me in any way. She fell asleep and for this game was out of town so I'm not sure that is going to work out. Anyway, the Cards look GREAT! This game Amy Warbrick and Camille Reynolds played together quite a bit. Kind of a preview to what is possible out there. Both are quick and extremely tough. Impressive women!
Then you have Shakiana "Kiki" Edwards-Teasley and the big Turk, Tugce Canitez, she is literly from Turkey. Both formidable players. Canitez couldn't buy a basket Saturday, but I have no doubt that is an anomaly. Edwards-Teasly is smooth, like silk. She is so graceful.
The Cards are deep with Kama Griffitts, Deanna Dotts and Katie Sanders just to name a few. This is a good team, ranked 9th, and is worth the trip to see. The first conference home game is November 19th, Thursday, go see them, and stay for the men's game as well!
